Please see a preview of my cookbook here. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I have enjoyed creating it.

  1. Heidi, I just bought your cookbook after reading Heal Your Headache and can't thank you enough for this! I've suffered for 15 years or so and can't believe I finally may have a solution to my headache problem. I'm only a week into the 1-2-3 plan, but have quit Zomig and caffeine. Now I'm trying to find new recipes for things I can eat - your book will help so much. I plan to follow your blog as well, thank you for helping others with headaches by educating them on the migraine diet. I cried as I read your intro and headache story, so many years of suffering. So glad things are better now!

  2. Thank you very much! It sounds like you are no stranger to suffering yourself. I hope you find relief in the 1-2-3 method like myself and others have. I wish you well. Please feel free to visit anytime.

  3. Heidi, the cookbook is terrific! I made my chicken stock and a batch of broth from the carcass. With that out of the way, meal planning is simple. My daughter and I were wondering if we could use the herb lemongrass to give recipes a citrus flavor? Do you know if that is okay? Also, today I started to get a headache after eating strawberries. They are not on the list, but it was pretty clear that was my trigger. Do you know of others who are sensitive to strawberries?

  4. Hello Dee, as far as I know, lemongrass is okay. If you use it for several days in a row and it seems to be the culprit, then avoid it, but otherwise it is probably allowable. Strawberries are not a typical trigger for most, but if they are for you, then avoid them. Remember, however, that triggers can take up to two days to cause a headache, so that headache may have been caused by something you ate the day before or two days before even. Try strawberries for several days in a row, and if they still give you a headache, then they may be a trigger for you. If not, then enjoy. Thanks for posting, and I wish you the best.
